It seems Pope Francis needs to brush up on his Tertullian!

It has been reported (in The ChristLast Media, I must note) that the current Pope does not like the phrase "lead us not into temptation...

"Let no freedom be allowed to novelty, because it is not fitting that any addition should be made to antiquity. Let not the clear faith and belief of our forefathers be fouled by any muddy admixture." -- Pope Sixtus III

Andrew Breitbart, Requiescat in pace.

The left-fascits may be able to write Mr. Breitbart's obituary, but they cannot tarnish his victories in the never-ending war for freedom.

From Roto-Reuters:

Conservative activist Andrew Breitbart dead at 43

Conservative activist Andrew Breitbart, an influential voice in U.S. Republican politics known for his attacks on liberals and Democrats, died unexpectedly of natural causes in Los Angeles early on Thursday, his family said. He was 43.

The brash and outspoken blogger and commentator, who published politically inspired photos and undercover videos, was the center of several major news websites, including www.Breitbart.tv, www.breitbart.com and www.biggovernment.com.

Breitbart was walking last night near his Los Angeles home when he collapsed, said his father-in-law, actor Orson Bean.

"He collapsed on the sidewalks and the paramedics were there very quickly and they couldn't revive him," Bean told Reuters.

Bean, 83, said that he was told by his daughter at around 1:30 a.m. that Breitbart had died. He said that he did not know if Breitbart had any heart troubles. "We were very close so I think if he had I would have known," Bean said.

"We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior. Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love," a memorial page on his websites said. The page said Breitbart "passed away unexpectedly from natural causes."

Breitbart was notorious for his fiery opinions. The last posts from his Twitter feed appear to have come just moments before midnight, with one calling a user a "putz" and another replying "Apologize for WHAT?" to another user.

His work played a role in a number of prominent news stories in recent years, including undercover videos of the community group ACORN and the texting scandal of former Democratic U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner of New York.

"Andrew's death is a shock & huge loss. His courage should be an example to us all," Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said via Twitter.

Former Republic presidential candidate Herman Cain, in a tweet, wrote: "I admired @AndrewBreitbart's fighting spirit. Thoughts & Prayers to his family. He was my friend & I will miss him #RIP."

Even ideological opponents praised Breitbart.

"Andrew Breitbart was a conservative political combatant who was unafraid of his critics," tweeted Donna Brazile, Democratic Party strategist and former presidential campaign manager for Al Gore. "We battled on and off air, but he was a genius."

In his book "Righteous Indignation," Breitbart wrote: "I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and-famously-I enjoy making enemies," according to his website.

"At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night," Breitbart wrote in the book.

The Party of Blasphemy, Buggery, and 'Bortion masturbates all over the constitution yet again.

From Yahoo! News:

President’s birth control policy stands

In a win for Democrats, the Senate voted Thursday to table an amendment permitting employers and insurers to opt out of provisions in President Obama's health care law on moral or religious grounds.

The Senate voted 51-48 to table the amendment, which was offered by Senate Republican Minority Leader Roy Blunt of Missouri as an add-on to the transportation funding bill. Blunt and fellow Republicans cast the amendment as a fight to protect First Amendment rights (which includes the freedom of religion.) Prior to the vote, Blunt argued that the language should be deemed non-controversial by his colleagues, stating on the Senate floor that every member of the Senate, barring some of the most recently elected members, "have voted for bills that have this language in them."

But Democrats said the amendment limits access to contraception and infringes on women's rights at a time when Congress needs to focus on the economy and employment. "These aren't the issues we should be debating right now," Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet said on the Senate floor.

From NBC Politics:

The vote to defeat the proposal was 51 to 48, with one Republican, Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine, voting with 50 Democrats against the amendment offered by Sen. Roy Blunt, R- Mo.

Thank goodness this ignorant sow is quitting. I much prefer perverts and killers who are honest about what they are.

Three Democrats, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, and Joe Manchin of West Virginia, voted with most Republicans for the proposal.

This charade will not save Senator Patrimony, Bob Casey. It's time to throw that Catholic-In-Name-Only onto the trash heap of history.

Thank you, Hines.

Steeler fans everywhere wish you the best [except if you play the Steelers someday] in your future endeavors. We'll see you in Canton in a few years.

From the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:

Hines' time as a Steelers receiver over

Hines Ward's tenure with the Steelers has come to an end.

Steelers president Art Rooney II announced Wednesday that the team will sever ties with its all-time leading receiver within two weeks.

"We had a conversation today with Hines Ward and informed him that we plan to release him of his contract prior to the start of the 2012 NFL calendar year (March 13)," Rooney said. "Hines has been an integral part of our success since we drafted him in 1998, and we will forever be grateful for what he has helped us achieve. He has meant so much to this organization, both on and off the field, and we appreciate his efforts over the past 14 years."

The Steelers drafted Ward in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft out of Georgia. He spent 14 years with the team, becoming the team's all-time leader in receptions (1,000), receiving yards (12,083), receiving touchdowns (85) and 100-yard receiving games (29).

Ward released the following statement Wednesday:

"This isn't how I wanted this chapter of my career to end. I did everything in my power to remain a Steeler and finish what I started here 14 years ago. I want to thank the organization, my teammates and coaches and everyone who made my run as a Steeler the best years of my life. To Mr. Rooney, thank you for allowing me to play for one of the greatest organizations in the world. To my fans and in particular Steeler Nation, thank you for your support and all the great memories. I gave my heart and soul for you every down and I will always bleed black and gold.

"I do feel that I still have more football left in me and I am looking forward to playing in the NFL again this upcoming season."

Ward is the eighth player in NFL history to reach 1,000 career receptions and joined Hall of Famer Jerry Rice as the only two players in league history to post 1,000 career catches and win multiple Super Bowls.

Ward was MVP of Super Bowl XL while helping lead the Steelers to a 21-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Fans, teammates say goodbye to veteran Ward

The Steelers' decision to release Hines Ward should not have come as a surprise, as the former Super Bowl MVP turns 36 next week, and he had been phased out of the passing game late last season.

Starkey: Hines a Steelers legend

The Steelers do not believe Hines Ward merits a spot on their roster, so, he is finished as a member of the team after 14 incredible seasons.

The Cardinals vs. The Community Organizer From The High Yellow Lagoon!

My money's on the men in red and their confreres. America's first Scourge of God president is gonna rue the day he woke up the Lord's faithful remnant.

We've been underground many times.before and we can do it again. TO THE CATACOMBS, KIDDIES!

Bring on the Culture War!

From the Chicago Sun-Times:

Cardinal George defies President Obama on birth control

Cardinal Francis George has come out swinging.

In a letter earmarked to be read this weekend at all Catholic churches in the Archdiocese of Chicago, Cardinal George is throwing the gauntlet down at the Obama administration for denying Catholics religious liberty.

“We cannot — and will not — comply with this unjust law,” states the cardinal, who is vehemently opposed to the new Obama administration rule requiring religious organizations to include contraceptive health insurance coverage.

“People of faith cannot be made second-class citizens because of their religious beliefs. . . . Our parents and grandparents did not come to these shores to help build America’s cities and towns, its infrastructure and institutions, enterprise and culture, only to have their posterity stripped of their God given rights.” [Emphasis mine. - F.G.]

Take that, you jug-eared commie creep!

In the letter to the Archdiocese’s 2.3 million Roman Catholics, Cardinal George bristles at Catholic employers “being forced to offer their employees health coverage that includes sterilization, abortion-inducing drugs, and contraception.”

He also asks his “community of faith” to do two things: “prayer and fasting so that wisdom and justice may prevail.”

Last week, bishops of every Catholic diocese throughout the U.S. were directed to write a letter stating their opposition to the Obama mandate, which they considered a violation of the First Amendment.

Sneed is told internal debates concerning the Obama contraceptive mandate divided the White House’s West Wing. Vice President Joe Biden and then White House chief of staff Bill Daley, both Catholics, warned the president to be cautious, because freedom of religion was the real issue at stake.

On the flip side, female kitchen cabinet members, including U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, stressed the contraceptive side of the argument — not wanting an exception made for religious organizations when it came to contraceptives.

But it is not only the Catholic hierarchy incensed by the new mandate.

Republican presidential candidates have been blasting Obama for his secular vision, and the U.S. Army got involved in a skirmish this week.

† To wit: The U.S. Army Chief of Chaplains issued a directive asking the letter written by Military Services Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio NOT be read at military pulpits because it “could be misinterpreted as a call to civil disobedience within our nation’s military ranks.”

† The upshot: The issue was resolved when Archbishop Broglio agreed to remove the part of the letter Cardinal George included in his directive: “We cannot — we will not — comply with this unjust law.”

† The backshot: Cardinal George is now in Rome reporting to the Pope on the state of his diocese — something each diocesan bishop does every five years.

He will not return to Chicago until Feb. 17.

† The buckshot: “The contraceptive mandate imposed on health plans by the Department of Health and Human Services also violates freedom of conscience,” said a Catholic priest.

“Imagine the impact on a revered Chicago Catholic institution like Misericordia, which is a home to the mentally disabled.”

Santorum asks Independents to vote for him in Michigan

I thought this was the Repansycans' winning strategy.

From the Boston Globe:

Rick Santorum defends robocalls urging Democrats to cross party lines...

KENTWOOD, Mich. – Rick Santorum was unapologetic today for making hundreds of calls to Michigan Democrats asking them to cross party lines and support his candidacy, and called complaints from rival Mitt Romney a “cheap shot.”

“We’re proving the point that we can attract the voters that we need to win states like Michigan,” Santorum said at a diner before boarding a flight to Ohio, where he was to spend a few hours in that Super Tuesday state campaigning. He was expected to return this afternoon to Grand Rapids, Mich., to gather with supporters tonight for what he hopes will be a victory party...

Once upon a time this would have been a joke.

From Yahoo! News:

Wyoming legislator David Miller introduces 'doomsday' bill

Wyoming Republican state legislator David Miller has introduced a bill to prepare his state for a doomsday scenario in which the nation's economy and social structure completely collapse.

"Things happen quickly sometimes — look at Libya, look at Egypt, look at those situations," Miller told the Star-Tribune. "We wouldn't have time to meet as a legislature or even in a special session to do anything to respond."

Miller's bill seeks to create a state-run continuity force that would study and prepare Wyoming for potential national or worldwide catastrophes. One specific component of the bill calls for the state to look into the possibility of issuing its own currency in the event the U.S. dollar collapses.

"If we continue down this course, this is the way any society ends up — with a valueless currency," Miller told the Star-Tribune.

Miller's original bill would have appropriated $32,000 for the task force, but the state's Joint Appropriations Committee has already cut the number in half. Six other states have attempted a similar currency creation effort in recent years — and all have failed. While Miller's bill may sound a bit extreme, there have been genuine concerns about the devaluation of U.S. currency in recent years. Last year, the International Monetary Fund predicted that China's economy would overtake that of the U.S. in five years.

But there have been accusations that certain businesses are preying on fears of economic insecurity by plugging cash for gold programs, resulting in individuals selling their precious metals for less than market value.

The Star-Tribune notes that Wyoming's Department of Homeland Security already has a statewide crisis management plan, but it does not include the so-called doomsday scenario. Miller's bill calls for coordination between Wyoming's Homeland Security along with the state attorney general and National Guard adjutant general.

The doomsday bill is sure to inspire criticism and even ridicule from some corners, but Miller says his priority is Wyoming. "I don't represent people in Illinois or New Jersey," he said. "I represent people in Wyoming. And I want them to be protected from any catastrophic events that may beset the rest of the country."

Santorum rips JFK for denying his Catholic faith!

This one's easy, kiddies. Kennedy was a lousy Catholic from a family of lousy Catholics. He was a serial adulterer, a sexual pervert, a racist, a liar, a coward, and a criminal. Even so, he was a better president than the jug-eared embarrassment we have now.

In case you're suffering from AmericaLast media mind control, JFK's "historic" speech was a craven attempt to buy protestant votes by admitting he was just as bad a Christian as they were.

From USA Today:

Santorum stands by John F. Kennedy criticism

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. -- Former senator Rick Santorum defended his comment that President John F. Kennedy's 1960 speech about the importance of the separation of religion from government "makes him throw up."

"To say that people of faith have no role in the public square? You bet that makes you throw up. What kind of country do we live that says only people of non-faith can come into the public square and make their case?" Santorum said Sunday at a campaign event here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Santorum is locked in a tight race with Mitt Romney in Michigan, whose GOP presidential primary is being held Tuesday.

He made his initial comments about the Kennedy speech during an appearance earlier Sunday on ABC's This Week. "I don't believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute," he said on the talk-show program.

Kennedy, the first Catholic president, gave his speech to a group of Protestant ministers during his bid for president in order to put to rest concerns about his faith.

The Kennedy quote referenced by Santorum is as follows:

I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute, where no Catholic prelate would tell the president (should he be Catholic) how to act, and no Protestant minister would tell his parishioners for whom to vote; where no church or church school is granted any public funds or political preference; and where no man is denied public office merely because his religion differs from the president who might appoint him or the people who might elect him.

Santorum, who is also Catholic, said the Kennedy speech was part of an effort to begin to "force God out of the public square."

After referencing his appearance on the Sunday show, Santorum told the crowd here that the news media was shocked he would make such a statement.

"How dare you say that John F. Kennedy speech in Houston was something that makes you sick," he said. "Why? Because he said this. 'I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute.' That is France, not America."

Actually, kiddies, Rick's been saying this for some time, and God bless him for it. This is from 2010:

Ignorance [not invincible, but willful] is the enemy of life, liberty, peace, and justice: Kathleen Parker.

What does the token "conservative" at Washington's other newspaper think of Rick Santorum? Try the following two steaming helpings of Kathleen Parker.

The trials of Saint Santorum

Obama’s dream opponent

Ignorance [not invincible, but willful] is the enemy of life, liberty, peace, and justice: Local Yokel.

You think that last post was overkill on my part, do you? The Old Gray Whore has been a nest of commies, slavemasons, fornicators, and other perverts at least since the days of Walter Duranty, satanism , and Stalin's bloodlust.

"But what about the heartland, Fyodor? Surely, real Americans aren't covering theirs eyes, ears and souls with rubbers, are they? Treating your woman like a kleenex is only the big city elitist way of saying 'I love you', isn't it?"

Nope. Behold the excretions of Gilbert Halfsmart, unterfuhrer of the local collectivist [except when it comes to their own profits] propaganda monopoly.

St. Rick vs. your phony theology

What is wrong with Rick Santorum?

I realize we could be here all day answering that question. Neither you nor I have the time, nor the stomach, to do so.

But I ask because Rick Santorum is now the front-runner in this never-ending Republican primary. Polls show he and Mitt Romney neck-and-neck in Michigan, which holds its primary Tuesday. Nationwide, Santorum's opened a wide lead.

Romney, at least, makes sense. Sure, he's insufficiently conservative for the fire-breathing Republican base. But during our ongoing crisis of capitalism, he has experience as an actual capitalist, whatever you might think of his time at Bain Capital. His idea is to cut taxes and let all good things flow from that. And if it doesn't work? Cut taxes more.

Santorum wants to cut taxes too, but his economic platform is seen as more inventive. At least he acknowledges that poverty exists in America; he'd cure it by cutting taxes.

Sensing a theme here?

But Santorum's economic proposals have taken a back seat on the campaign trail, because every time he opens his mouth these days he emits a cultural rebel yell.

Santorum, first and foremost, is a culture warrior. Millions love him for that. Millions more detest that.

And so last weekend, when Santorum talked of Obama's "phony theology," it sounded familiar to partisans on both sides. Santorum's backers were quick to say that he wasn't criticizing the president's Christianity, or suggesting Obama wasn't really a Christian.

Santorum's detractors, of course, understood that this was exactly what he was doing. It's called dog whistling, defined by Bloomberg columnist Jeffrey Goldberg as "the use of coded, ambiguous language to appeal to the prejudices of certain subsets of voters." Santorum may be many things, but he's not an accidental idiot. He didn't stumble into the "phony theology" line.

Can you smell the wet straw man, kiddies?

My buddy Pastor Dan, a United Church of Christ minister, spent the weekend posting notes like this to his Facebook wall:

On Saturday, because of my phony theology, I tried to get food donations to a pantry that could use them.
And today, because of my phony theology, I drove an hour and a half to visit a child in a burn ward.
Oh, & Wednesday, because of my phony theology, I went to see a member of my congregation whose feet and hand were shattered in a car crash.

Ha-ha. What a funny heretic.

Who's fucking your little girl tonight, Pastor Dan? Just fill her pockets with condoms. That will make everything all right.

BTW, we Catholics invented works of charity.

That's nice. But Pastor Dan, see, he's a liberal. And the UCC — they're a little friendlier to gays, right?

Phony theology.

In one respect, this attitude is understandable — people have strong feelings about religion, and that some think I'm right and you're wrong is just part of the ballgame.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

Not all religious conservatives are like this. There are many who, as Pete Wehner wrote last week, realize that "arguments on behalf of moral truth need to be made in ways that are winsome, in a manner that is meant to persuade. ... The person making the arguments needs to radiate some measure of grace and tolerance rather than condemnation and zeal."

But this is primary season; and Santorum's zeal is the very thing that attracts many social conservatives to his cause.

Still, Santorum isn't running to be preacher in chief. He wants to become president of a religiously diverse nation where the nonreligious or unaffiliated are, by far, the fastest-growing segment of society. Many simply shake their heads: This is exactly what they don't like about religion.

But if you're a Mormon, Jew, Muslim or a member of a less-than-dogmatic mainline congregation, you might also be concerned. For the president, whatever his personal faith, needs to respect what Normal Rockwell articulated in his 1943 painting titled "Freedom to Worship": Each according to the dictates of his own conscience.

That's the American way.

What Halfsmart really means [but is too cowardly to say] is this: Anyone who says orgasms are not the highest possible good is an un-American extremist who hates women and "gays" [That's jackass for "homosexual", kiddies.] and must be stopped at all costs.

I just don't get it. It's not like this jackass is gonna get laid either.

It's not about religion. It's not about the constitution. It's all about getting your rocks off whenever, wherever, and with whatever you want. We've made a bargain with the Foolish One, kiddies. We've traded our freedom and our souls for orgasms.

Ignorance [not invincible, but willful] is the enemy of life, liberty, peace, and justice: Mo Dowdy.

You've probably noticed all the hubbub over Rick Santorum lately. The AmericaLast media would like you to think ol' Rick is a fanatical papist who's all about putting women in burqas and killing them when they forget to put mayo on their masters' sandwiches. But the truth is Okhrana started this war when he decreed Catholics had to pay for protestant rubbers.

Why have geniuses like Mo Dowdy become so enraged over our refusal to purchase pieces of plastic even homeless chicks can afford? Obviously, there is something going on beneath the surface. [I know. Hard to believe there's any depth to Mo, right?] I'm sure she doesn't want to hear this, but Miss Dowdy is suffering from the most important affliction of the modern age, a disordered understanding of human sexuality. Or, as I like to call it, Orgasm Über Alles.

First, on 2/18/2012 Mo tried to express the incredulity that bubbled up in her tummy when she wondered why a Hollyweird starlet would give up the bright lights to become a Bride of Christ. [I'm guessing little Mo doesn't know any faithful Catholics.]

Where the Boys Aren’t
Oh, what a clever title! And in at least two different ways, too! I expect nothing less from the queen of left-fascist wet dreams.

How do you marry God after you’ve kissed the King?

Easy. Just ask Dolores Hart.

The 73-year-old Benedictine nun is planning to attend the Oscars next Sunday. She will be a lot more covered up than she was the last time she went to the ceremony — in 1959, as a presenter and a gorgeous starlet who had given a blushing Elvis his first screen kiss.

Grace Kelly deserted Hollywood at 26 to become the bride of a prince. Hart, dubbed “the next Grace Kelly,” deserted Hollywood at 24 to become a bride of Christ.

That stunning spiritual elopement is the subject of an Oscar-nominated documentary called “God Is Bigger Than Elvis,” a rare look behind the walls of the cloistered abbey in rural Connecticut where Hart has lived for half a century. (It will be shown on HBO in April.)

“God was the vehicle,” she said of her odyssey. “He was the bigger Elvis.”

Nuns in America are a dying breed, and the church’s antediluvian male hierarchy gets more worked up about allowing Catholic women contraceptives than investigating sexual abuse of children by priests.

But Hart soldiers on at the bucolic Abbey of Regina Laudis, a Benedictine monastery and working farm in Bethlehem, Conn., which observes three periods of silence a day. She is a mother prioress and spiritual guide to 38 other nuns (and she is the only nun who is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences).

Audrey Hepburn and Ingrid Bergman played luminous nuns in movies, but Hart was the luminous beauty who, in real life, cut her hair and put on the habit. When I was little, we would watch her old movies on TV — especially “King Creole,” “Where The Boys Are” and “Come Fly With Me” — and puzzle over why anyone would leave sparkly Hollywood for a strict nunnery.

The British tabloids considered it such lunacy that they kept trying to scout out the “real” reason, reporting on a rumor that Hart had scurried off to the convent in shame after bearing Elvis’s love child.

“If anybody knew me, I mean, I was just too Catholic,” she said, denying the gossip to ABC’s “20/20” in 2002.

The documentary begins with Hollywood publicity shots and clips showing Hart — with her big blue eyes, creamy voice and lithe figure — draped in furs, gowns and men. Flash forward to the senior citizen in her old-school habit, leavened with a jaunty black beret decorated with three bird pins. As you watch her playing cancan music for a pet parrot, you wonder: Could she be the only woman who starred in movies who has never had any cosmetic enhancements?

Her parents were beautiful too, and tried to make it in Hollywood. But they didn’t flourish in the movies or in their marriage and divorced. They were only teenagers when they had her and could not handle it, she said, noting, “This was a tragedy to my grandmother; she wanted to have me aborted.”

Hart became a star effortlessly, praying for roles and receiving daily Communion. But in 1958, while on Broadway in “The Pleasure of His Company,” she felt fatigued. A friend suggested taking a break at the abbey’s guest cottage.

“And I said: ‘Nuns? I don’t want to go anyplace where there’s nuns,’ ” she recalled. Her friend replied: “Oh, don’t be so stiff. Just try it. They’re contemplative and they won’t talk.” She arrived once in a studio limo yet loved the simplicity, feeling she “could find my inner certitude.”

She confessed to the mother superior that she was worried “that it was wrong as a Catholic to be in the movies because sexually you could be aroused by boys and you could get involved sexually with men. And my leading star was Elvis. She said: ‘Well, why not? You’re a girl. Chastity doesn’t mean that you don’t appreciate what God created. Chastity says use it well.’ ”

She was preparing for her wedding to Don Robinson, a Los Angeles architect, with a dress designed by Edith Head and a home designed by her fiancé, when it hit her that she was in love with God.

She wore a bridal dress and lace veil when she entered the monastery, but it was a rocky honeymoon. The other women considered her, as one put it, “a lightweight.”

“The first night,” Sister Dolores recalled, “I felt like I had jumped off a 20-story building and landed flat on my butt. I had no idea that it was going to mean singing seven times a day, working in the garden, 10 people in one bathroom, the sternness.” She compared it to being skinned alive.

Robinson never married. “I never found a love like Dolores,” he told the documentarians. He came to visit his old love for 47 years until he died in November.

In the last scene, on one of their final walks, the pair hold hands. Afterward, by herself, Sister Dolores’s eyes fill with tears as she makes the sign of the cross.

Golly. It's a real shame we Catholics haven't spent the last 2,000 years explaining this stuff.

Next, on or about 2/22/2012, Miss Dowdy let the whole world see what she's like when she encounters a real man.

Rick’s Religious Fanaticism

Rick Santorum has been called a latter-day Savonarola.

That’s far too grand. He’s more like a small-town mullah.

Wow. That is so blatantly racist that it automatically excludes Mo from the human race, kind of like her kind does with fetuses. Some goat rapist is gonna saw her head off and post it on Youtube for that one.

“Satan has his sights on the United States of America,” the conservative presidential candidate warned in 2008. “Satan is attacking the great institutions of America, using those great vices of pride, vanity and sensuality as the root to attack all of the strong plants that has so deeply rooted in the American tradition.”

What, like Satan needs to spend time corrupting Iran, Venezuela, and North Korea?

When, in heaven’s name, did sensuality become a vice? Next he’ll be banning Barry White.

A classic misdirection to confuse the rubes from one of our moral and intellectual superiors. We're really talking about penetration here. kiddies.

Of course, I don't know what goes on in her bathroom. She just might think putting a rubber on a pumpkin is an expression of her "sensuality".

Santorum is not merely engaged in a culture war, but “a spiritual war,” as he called it four years ago. “The Father of Lies has his sights on what you would think the Father of Lies would have his sights on: a good, decent, powerful, influential country — the United States of America,” he told students at Ave Maria University in Florida. He added that mainline Protestantism in this country “is in shambles. It is gone from the world of Christianity as I see it.”

Satan strikes, a Catholic exorcist told me, when there are “soul wounds.” Santorum, who is considered “too Catholic” even by my über-Catholic brothers, clearly believes that America’s soul wounds include men and women having sex for reasons other than procreation, people involved in same-sex relationships, women using contraception or having prenatal testing, environmentalists who elevate “the Earth above man,” women working outside the home, “anachronistic” public schools, Mormonism (which he said is considered “a dangerous cult” by some Christians), and President Obama (whom he obliquely and oddly compared to Hitler and accused of having “some phony theology”).

I'd like to check the credentials of Mo's "über-Catholic brothers". I've never seen them at any of the meetings.

Do you think Miss Dowdy has ever dared to call anyone "too mohammedan"?

Santorum didn’t go as far as evangelist Franklin Graham, who heinously doubted the president’s Christianity on “Morning Joe.”

Mullah Rick, who has turned prayer into a career move, told ABC News’s Jake Tapper that he disagreed with the 1965 Supreme Court decision striking down a ban on contraception. And, in October, he insisted that contraception is “not O.K. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”

Senator Sanitarium, as he was once dubbed on “The Sopranos,” sometimes tries to temper his retrogressive sermons so as not to drive away independent and Republican women who like to work, see their kids taught by professionals and wear Victoria’s Secret.

He told The Washington Post on Friday that, while he doesn’t want to fund contraception through Planned Parenthood, he wouldn’t ban it: “The idea that I’m coming after your birth control is absurd. I was making a statement about my moral beliefs, but I won’t impose them on anyone else in this case.”

That doesn’t comfort me much. I’ve spent a career watching candidates deny that they would do things that they went on to do as president, and watching presidents let their personal beliefs, desires and insecurities shape policy decisions.

Mullah Rick is casting doubt on issues of women’s health and safety that were settled a long time ago. We’re supposed to believe that if he got more power he’d drop his crusade?

The Huffington Post reports that Santorum told Philadelphia Magazine in 1995 that he “was basically pro-choice all my life, until I ran for Congress.” Then, he said, he read the “scientific literature.”

He seems to have decided that electoral gold lies in the ruthless exploitation of social and cultural wedge issues. Unlike the Bushes, he has no middle man to pander to prejudices; he turns the knife himself.

Why is it that Republicans don’t want government involved when it comes to the economy (opposing the auto bailouts) but do want government involved when it comes to telling people how to live their lives?

In a party always misty for bygone times bristling with ugly inequities, Santorum is successful because he’s not ashamed to admit that he wants to take the country backward.

Virginia’s Republican governor, Bob McDonnell, touted as a vice-presidential prospect, also wants to drag women back into a cave.

This week, public outrage forced the Virginia legislature to pause on its way to passing a creepy bill forcing women seeking an abortion to undergo an ultrasound, which, for early procedures, would require a wand being inserted into the vagina — an invasion that anti-abortion groups hope would shame some women into changing their minds once they saw or heard about traits of the fetus.

Democratic Delegate Lionell Spruill hotly argued that the bill would force “legal rape.” “I cannot believe that you would disrespect women and mothers in such a way,” he chided colleagues. “This legislation is simply mean-spirited, and it is bullying, bullying women simply because you can.”

While the Democrat-controlled Maryland House of Delegates just passed a bill that would allow same-sex marriage, the Republican-controlled Virginia legislature passed a bill allowing private adoption agencies to discriminate against gays who want to be parents.

I think a nice pair of badgers should adopt Mo.

The Potomac River dividing those states seems to be getting wider by the day.

Gee, Mo, lighten up. It's not like you're gonna get laid anyway.

Lastly, on 2/25/2012 Mo shows deep seated and heartfelt concern for the Repansycans, a group she loves and admires. If she could, I'm sure Mo Dowdy would fix all elections so the R candidates would win, because she's not a bloodthirsty commie ghoul.

Ghastly Outdated Party
It's finally sinking in.

Republicans are getting queasy at the gruesome sight of their party eating itself alive, savaging the brand in ways that will long resonate.

“Republicans being against sex is not good,” the G.O.P. strategist Alex Castellanos told me mournfully. “Sex is popular.”

Orgasm Über Alles meets Democracy Über Alles. How's that working out for you, America?

And who's your little girl fucking tonight, Mr. Castellanos?

He said his party is “coming to grips with a weaker field than we’d all want” and going through the five stages of grief. “We’re at No. 4,” he said. (Depression.) “We’ve still got one to go.” (Acceptance.)

All those decades of therapy finally begin to pay off for Little Mo. She has mastered internalizing the cliches.

The contenders in the Hester Prynne primaries are tripping over one another trying to be the most radical, unreasonable and insane candidate they can be. They pounce on any traces of sanity in the other candidates — be it humanity toward women, compassion toward immigrants or the willingness to make the rich pay a nickel more in taxes — and try to destroy them with it.

President Obama has deranged conservatives just as W. deranged liberals. The right’s image of Obama, though, is more a figment of its imagination than the left’s image of W. was.

Newt Gingrich, a war wimp in Vietnam who supported W.’s trumped-up invasion of Iraq, had the gall to tell a crowd at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., that defeating Obama — “the most dangerous president in modern American history” — was “a duty of national security” because “he is incapable of defending the United States” and because he “wants to unilaterally weaken the United States.” Who killed Osama again?

How can the warm, nurturing Catholic Church of my youth now be represented in the public arena by uncharitable nasties like Gingrich and Rick Santorum?

“It makes the party look like it isn’t a modern party,” Rudy Giuliani told CNN’s Erin Burnett, fretting about the candidates’ Cotton Mather attitude about women and gays. “It doesn’t understand the modern world that we live in.”

After a speech in Dallas on Thursday, Jeb Bush also recoiled: “I used to be a conservative, and I watch these debates and I’m wondering, I don’t think I’ve changed, but it’s a little troubling sometimes when people are appealing to people’s fears and emotion rather than trying to get them to look over the horizon for a broader perspective.”

Alan Simpson, the former Republican senator from Wyoming, recently called Santorum “rigid and homophobic.” Arlen Specter, who quit the Republicans to become a Democrat three years ago before Pennsylvania voters sent him home from the Senate, told MSNBC: “Where you have Senator Santorum’s views, so far to the right, with his attitude on women in the workplace and gays and the bestiality comments and birth control, I do not think it is realistic for Rick Santorum to represent America.” That from the man who accused Anita Hill of perjury.

Republicans have a growing panic at the thought of going down the drain with a loser, missing their chance at capturing the Senate and giving back all those House seats won in 2010. More and more, they openly yearn for a fresh candidate, including Jeb Bush, who does, after all, have experience at shoplifting presidential victories at the last minute.

Their jitters increased exponentially as they watched Mitt belly-flop in his hometown on Friday, giving a dreadful rehash of his economic ideas in a virtually empty Ford Field in Detroit, babbling again about the “right height” of Michigan trees and blurting out that Ann “drives a couple of Cadillacs.”

Romney’s Richie Rich slips underscore what Ed Rollins, a Republican strategist, told the Ripon Forum: “If we are only the party of Wall Street and country clubbers, we will quickly become irrelevant.”

Santorum, whose name aptly comes from the same Latin root as sanctimonious, went on Glenn Beck’s Web-based show with his family and offered this lunacy: “I understand why Barack Obama wants to send every kid to college,” because colleges are “indoctrination mills” that “harm” the country. He evidently wants home university schooling, which will cut down on keggers.

His wife, Karen, suggested that her husband’s success is “God’s will” and that he wants “to make the culture a better culture, more pleasing to God.”

The barking-mad Republicans of Virginia are helping to make the party look foolish and creepy. A video went viral on Friday in which Delegate Dave Albo comically regaled his fellow lawmakers on the floor of the Statehouse with his own Old Dominion version of “Lysistrata”: he suggested that he was denied sex with his wife because of a Republican-sponsored bill that would have made ultrasounds, often with a vaginal probe, mandatory for women seeking abortions.

With music, red wine and a big-screen TV, he made a move on his wife, Rita, while she was watching a news report about the bill. “And she looks at me and goes, ‘I’ve got to go to bed,’ ” Albo said as his colleagues guffawed.

The Republicans, with their crazed Reagan fixation, are a last-gasp party, living posthumously, fighting battles on sex, race, immigration and public education long ago won by the other side.

They’re trying to roll back the clock, but time is passing them by.

OH MY GOODNESS, KIDDIES! WE BETTER START TALKING EXCLUSIVELY ABOUT MARGINAL TAX RATES AGAIN OR WE'RE GONNA LOSE!

Mo only has our best interests, and the best interests of all mankind [PERSONKIND!!! PERSONKIND!!!] in mind.

About Me

My photo
First of all, the word is SEX, not GENDER. If you are ever tempted to use the word GENDER, don't. The word is SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! For example: "My sex is male." is correct. "My gender is male." means nothing. Look it up. What kind of sick neo-Puritan nonsense is this? Idiot left-fascists, get your blood-soaked paws off the English language. Hence I am choosing "male" under protest.
